Other Confidence tips
Being a good huntress is dependent on good self esteem. When youâre empowered, youâre courageous, daring and those you approach see you as dynamic. If you are really shy and nothing seems to work, try the following technique: Think of a famous actress you admire. Imagine sheâs not only beautiful, but confident, smart, and kind. The next time you leave your home and are walking down the street, imagine youâre her. Obviously, she knows that people respect and admire her. Can you visualize yourself in her skin? She is not pretentious yet knows people are noticing her. How does she walk? With a little practice walking along the street as your favorite movie star, youâll see that people will start to treat you differently. Itâs amazing, but when you see yourself as popular and beautiful, you appear this way to others.
Confident women tend to have consistent personalities. Others, lacking confidence in meeting men or in new situations, have one personality at home with their family, another with their friends, another at the office, another on a date, and a completely different personality in public. Isolate and study these different sides of yourself. Where and with whom do you feel confident? Imagine youâre talking to your two best friends or closest family members at your favorite place. Who are you at this moment? Study this person; she is the real you. The next time you have an insecurity attack draw on this strong, powerful, confident side of yourself. If you were with a friend who became incredibly nervous, insecure, or afraid, Iâm sure you would put your arm around her and tell her sheâs safe. The trick is to summon the strong side of yourself to do this in new situations.
When you feel yourself spiraling downward into insecurity, practice accessing your strong, confident side, and demand that it rise up and fight for control. Conquering fear is a matter of understanding your mind and feelings and your own power over them. Donât let your insecurity spin out of control. With determination, you can control it. If there are people, places, and things that bring out the real you, seek them out. The more comfortable you are, the easier it will be for you to access your own inner strength.
